Architectural drawing
An architectural drawing is a drawing of any kind and nature, used in the field of architecture. This is usually a technical representation of a building associated with other, provides an understanding of its characteristics, whether built or just a construction project. Thus, various plans are the heart of an application for a building permit. An architectural drawing is always an implementation of geometric principles of aesthetic and practical requirements, the whole being framed by the conventions. The synthesis and the graphic of all these requirements are adjusted according to the embodiment of the drawing, from freehand sketches to the most sophisticated computer system.A given design is usually a set of drawings for a building or project. In the case of a project, it is achieving the intent of the ultimate decision maker, while leaving one hand to the architect's own talent and even the designer.
Ground planeThe ground plane is the main architectural drawing. This is a top view that shows the arrangement of spaces in a building, like a map, a floor of the building. Technically, it is a horizontal section of a building (conventionally one meter above the ground), including from walls, doors and windows.
Ground planeA ground plane is intended to show an overview of the project, including property lines, access, and surrounding structures if they have an interest in the plan. For a construction project, the ground plane also shows the network connections (water, electricity, communications ...).The ground plane is typically used to represent a project before detailed design. Its design allows to decide the site configuration and orientation of new buildings. It can also verify that a project meets the zoning regulations.
ElevationElevation is a representation of a facade. This is the most common view to represent the exterior of a building. Each elevation is called the direction that the front faces. The buildings are never rectangular elevation shows all the typical elements of a building visible in a particular direction.Geometrically, an elevation is an orthographic projection of a building horizontally on a vertical plane, the vertical plane parallel to the facade of a building.
